Capture a work in 3D
3D works stand in the house at their real size: short pieces on a white plinth at eye level, tall pieces on the floor. A pass with the 3D add-on is needed.
iPhone or iPad with LiDAR (Pro models): use the Interartive Capture app (Dashboard › Capture works in 3D). It guides you around the work and sends the model here.
Any phone: scan with Polycam, Scaniverse, Luma or KIRI, export as .glb, and drop it on your exhibition's Works page.
Tips for a good scan
- Soft, even light; no harsh shadows or direct sun. Avoid shiny or see-through surfaces if you can (matte spray is used by pros).
- Put the work on a plain surface with some texture around it (a newspaper helps the phone track).
- Walk around slowly three times: low, middle and high. Keep the whole work in view; 60–200 photos is typical.
- Framed works and canvases are usually best as photos — scan them only when depth matters (relief, assemblage).
- After uploading, check the real size (change the height; width and depth follow) and where it stands.
