One home for experiences you play

Most interactive work today is either a heavily promoted game or a personal experiment sitting on someone’s laptop. Interartive is for everything in between, and for everyone who needs it.

Where it started

While he was at university, Stephen Sebunya, who founded Interartive, began making games for kindergarten children. He invited friends at his college who could code to join him. Every week they carried their own laptops into a kindergarten as volunteers and set the games up during the children’s breaks. The games taught math, English and science through play.

The children played, the teachers watched, and the students noted what worked and what didn’t. Then they went home, improved the games, and brought the new versions to the next week’s session.

Teachers and children loved them. One result surprised everyone: children who had been very quiet in class began to take part. Their teachers told the students those children had become talkative and were asking questions in their lessons.

Interartive is that weekly loop, made open to everyone: people who make interactive experiences, the people who use them, and a way to learn from each other. Classroom pilots takes it back to where it began.

Services that work better as play

Research and apps like Duolingo and Brilliant show that learning sticks when it is interactive and gamified. But each of those lives in its own app. Interartive brings learning, wellness, culture, civic engagement and play into one place, organized by age, grade, subject and season, so people find what they need without installing anything.

A home for creative coders

Thousands of talented people make brilliant experiments in p5.js, Processing, three.js, shaders, Unity and Godot that few people ever see. On Interartive their work is found, played, licensed and commissioned, and every upload gets a dated certificate proving authorship.

Creation for people who don’t code

Customizable experiences let anyone put their own content into someone else’s experience: an artist hangs their paintings in a virtual museum, a school puts its students’ work in a gallery, a brand drops its products into an explorer. Try it free, then get a delivered custom version for a flat fee, or commission something original with no platform fee at all.

How Interartive earns

From licenses organizations buy to deploy experiences, from subscriptions, and from interactive ads that pay the creators they appear next to. Original commissions between people and creators carry no platform fee.
