Supported engines and how to package each
p5.js, Processing, three.js, Unity, Godot, Babylon.js, PlayCanvas, WebGPU and more.
Interartive runs anything that runs in a browser tab. Upload a zip with index.html at the top level (or inside one folder). Libraries from cdnjs, jsDelivr and unpkg are allowed for experiences that aren't for children; for children's experiences, include every file in the zip.
Single files (wrapped for you)
- p5.js: upload sketch.js. We add p5 and a full-screen canvas. Add p5.sound yourself in a zip if you need it.
- Processing: upload sketch.pde. It runs with Processing.js.
- 3D models: upload .glb or .gltf. It opens in an orbit viewer with touch controls.
- HTML: one self-contained page.
Engines (zip the web export)
- Unity WebGL: Build Settings › WebGL. Compression: Brotli or Gzip both work (we serve the right headers); "Decompression fallback" off. Zip the folder with index.html, Build/ and TemplateData/.
- Godot 4: Export › Web, turn Thread Support off (single-threaded export) so it runs without special headers. Zip index.html, .pck, .wasm and .js.
- Babylon.js, three.js, PlayCanvas, A-Frame, PixiJS, Phaser: zip your built site. PlayCanvas: Download › Web build.
- WebGPU: works in browsers that support it; give a WebGL fallback so phones without WebGPU still play.
- Construct, GDevelop, Defold, GameMaker, Cocos, Flutter Web: use the HTML5/Web export and zip it.
- Twine, Bitsy, PICO-8: export to HTML and upload it.
- Scratch: package with the TurboWarp Packager (Zip output).
- Flash: put your .swf next to a page that loads the self-hosted Ruffle player and zip both.
- WebAssembly, Rust, C++ (Emscripten): zip the generated page, .js and .wasm.
Good to know
- No cookies, localStorage or IndexedDB in the sealed runtime: use Interartive.progress to save progress.
- Add
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">so it fits phones, tablets and TVs. - Respond to pointer events (not only mouse) so fingers work.
- Respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - Keep it under 25 MB for fast loading on phones and screens; uploads may be up to 100 MB (300 MB for premium university members, 500 MB with Creator Pro).
